Conjunctions

Basically conjunctions join words, phrases or sentences  that's why we also say linking words. To make easy we can divide connectors in groups and learn systematically.

Conj of Reason. (always used in starting of a sentence).
As, Since, Due to, Owing to, Because of, these all are used to give a reason.

As I have fever I can not attend classes.
Since I have fever I can not attend classes.
Due to fever I can not attend classes.
Because of fever I can not attend classes.
Owing to fever I can not attend classes.

Conj of result. (always used in middle of a sentence).
So, Thus, Hence, Therefore.                        

I have severe leg pain so am not able to run.
I have severe headache thus would not come to seminar.
We are not sincere in preparation for exams hence face failures.
They meet failures often therefore overcome easily also learn from mistakes.

Conj for adding information.
And, Also, In addition to, Furthermore, Moreover. (these come in between of the sentence).

I have taken a job and in part time am studying to complete my degree.
I am completing my degree also work to support family.
In addition to my job am studying to make myself eligible for better opportunities.
I have taken a job furthermore trying to complete my degree for satisfaction.
Job is presently supporting me moreover am studying for my future.

Conj for contradiction.
However, Though, Although, even though, despite of, instead of mostly used in the beginning of a sentence).

Though she is bed ridden from a few years she has not changed a little bit.
However ill she has been yet not changed little bit.
Although she is suffering from ill health she has not changed little bit.
Even though she has suffered from illness past years none can say she has changed!
Despite of her health problems we can find no changes in her nature.
